Our Mission
The H.O.M.I.E. Foundation’s mission is to clean the streets in the community, both literally and figuratively, by conducting neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects; empowering residents by promoting love, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and mindset shifting, and mentoring the youth to recreate the “village” by Helping Others Make It Everyday.

The H.O.M.I.E. Foundation was born from a simple but powerful belief: where you live should never determine how you live and every community deserves to feel pride, possibility, and power. Founded in 2018 by Daniel Trawick, H.O.M.I.E. is deeply rooted in the heart of North Philadelphia, where Daniel was raised on 25th & Diamond. Like many who grow up in under-resourced neighborhoods, he witnessed firsthand how neglect can become normalized how littered streets, abandoned spaces, and lack of investment quietly shape expectations for what a community should accept. But for Daniel, that reality never felt acceptable. What others learned to overlook, he chose to confront. He saw beyond the debris. He saw potential.
What began as a commitment to clean his block evolved into a movement to restore dignity, rebuild pride, and reignite hope not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and economically. Daniel understood early on that cleaning a neighborhood isn’t just about removing trash. It’s about shifting mindsets, restoring ownership, and reminding people that they matter. That vision became The H.O.M.I.E. Foundation. H.O.M.I.E. (Helping Others Make It Everyday) is more than a name. It is a call to action and a way of life. Our work bridges the gap between environmental restoration and personal empowerment. We clean streets, yes but we also help rebuild the foundation of community itself. Through neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects, we address the visible challenges. Through mentorship, financial literacy, entrepreneurship support, and mindset development, we tackle the invisible ones. Because true transformation doesn’t happen from the outside in, it happens from the inside out. We believe revitalization is not just about investment in infrastructure, but investment in people. When residents feel seen, supported, and equipped, entire communities shift. Children begin to dream differently. Adults begin to build differently. Neighborhoods begin to thrive differently. The H.O.M.I.E. Foundation exists because underserved communities are not lacking in value—they have been lacking in consistent, intentional support. We are here to change that. For investors and partners, this is more than an opportunity to fund a program—it’s a chance to be part of a scalable, community-rooted model that restores pride, reduces neglect, and builds generational impact from the ground up. For the communities we serve, we are a reminder: You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. And together, we rise.
We are rebuilding the village—one block, one mindset, one life at a time.
